Delete your SpokeQuote account

You can close your SpokeQuote account yourself from your account settings. You do not need to sign in to read this page.

How to delete your account

Sign in at spokequote.com. Go to sign-in.
Open Settings → Account. In the side menu this is the gear icon labelled Setup, then the Account tab.
Then, on the same page, do whichever of these applies to you:
- If you are the only Owner of a business: choose Close this business, then confirm with Yes, close this business. Closing a business starts a cooling-off period during which you can cancel the closure. When the business is erased at the end of it, your account is closed automatically if that was the only business you belong to. If you belong to another business, after this one has been erased choose Close my account as below, or make someone else an Owner of the other business first. If you would rather keep the business, make someone else an Owner first and then close your account as below.
- Otherwise (you have no business, or you are not its only Owner): choose Close my account, then confirm with Yes, close my account. The recordings, quotes and clients of a business belong to the business and stay with it. Closing your own account removes your access to them; it does not delete them.

Your sign-in and your membership of every business you belong to. If you choose Close my account, your sign-in sessions are ended.
When a business is closed: its recordings, transcripts, quotes, templates, rate cards and rendered documents. Deletion is carried out by a scheduled job, not by hiding a row.

Your account record, in anonymised form: your email, name and phone number are removed, and the audit trail no longer names you.
A record of what was done on the account, with your name and email removed. It is not removed when a business is erased.
Encrypted backups, which expire on their own schedule.
Account and billing records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Email privacy@spokequote.com and ask for your account to be deleted. We will answer within one month.
